EXPLORE THE GROUNDS
The Robinson House
In June of 2007 we were fortunate enough to be able to establish the Robinson House, named in honor of Iris and Robby Robinson. The Robinsons have been long-time members of AHPC and active in the children’s ministry. This charming home is the best setting for our babies, aged six weeks to 12 months. The house provides a home-like surrounding for our little ones.
The love and care of the staff is second to none, With low ratios our caregivers can spend one on one time with each child- holding, singing, reading, playing, rocking, and nurturing the development of each. The Robinson House is divided into non-mobile and mobile babies and each area is set up specifically for their developmental needs.
The Main School
Originally built for the Sunday School program at Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church, the education wing of the church houses children from 12 months old through our elementary after-school programs. While the school began in 1983 as an outreach ministry of the church, the school has now grown to use the whole building.
Playground & Garden
The two playgrounds, last updated in 2021, feature many spaces for development of large and small motor skills. One playground is designed specifically for toddlers and the other playground for older children. With a soft padded surface – no gravel or mulch in shoes – it provides a great space for running, bikes, or anything else our teachers plan for their classrooms. Each class enjoys the playground twice a day, weather permitting. The Garden area is designed for all age groups and allows children a place to dig, play with water and enjoy nature. Each class goes to the garden once a week.
The Chapel
All classes with children able to walk attend chapel daily. This is a special place for our children to grow and not only learn new songs and Bible stories, but grow in their Christian faith together.
